The smart metering system makes use of low power radiofrequency (RF) transmitters to communicate meter readings.
Weak RF fields in the 900MHz and 2.4 GHz bands are produced during the system's normal operation.
These communications frequencies are well within Australian guidelines, and smart meter RF emissions are
less than most other sources in the home such as those produced by mobile phones, cordless phones.
well we think there is more to the story than this.
the real story
The smart metering system uses radiofrequency (RF) transmitters located at your meter box to communicate meter readings.
Smart meters frequency band is 900MHz to 2.4 GHz. Transmissions can vary from every half hour to every 4 seconds.
These communication levels are within Australian guidelines, but these guidelines are for flesh heating effect only.
DNA and cellular distruction can occur well below these levels and are of major concern, but are ignored by authorities.
